Kaltman Walks away with the InfoComm Pick Hit Award
Atlanta Georgia – July 2007. And the winner is… Kaltman Creations LLC introduced an InfoComm Pick Hit Award winning product at this year's 2007 InfoComm show. The winning product was the Spectran HF4040 RF Spectrum Analyzer. The Spectran HF4040 is the world's first Low Cost, Handheld, Field RF Spectrum Analyzer that addresses Channel Selection, Interference Identification, RF System Monitoring, Testing, and Exposure Limits. The HF4040 frequency range is from 10MHz on up to 4GHz making it perfect for analyzing VHF, UHF and 2.4GHz environments, (wireless microphones, assisted listening, Crestron, AMX & industrial control, Wi-Fi, Intercom, wireless DMX, cellular, 2-way radio, etc.).
The booth traffic at the show was unprecedented - partly because of the record-setting attendance - but also over the interest in the HF4040. Kaltman Creations had the analyzer setup in their booth so attendees could view all of the RF activity at the show on a LCD monitor, and according to a booth staffer, "there was plenty of RF activity in just about all of the bands."
Ray Esparolini, Director of Sales at Kaltman Creations LLC stated, "We knew the HF4040 was going to be a big hit even before the show doors opened when wireless microphone manufactures were stopping by our booth to select open UHF frequencies for their demo mics."
Unlike RF Scanners with limited frequency ranges and which allow for missed intermittent interference, slow scanning and aliasing, the HF4040 is a true RF Spectrum Analyzer. In addition to the HF4040's standard frequency sweep readings and signal strength readouts, the unit features a powerful Zoom feature which allows the user to narrow the frequency span down to 100KHz resolution. The Spectran HF4040 will also perform extended data logging and long term Peak Hold recordings.
Mark Kaltman, President of Kaltman Creations LLC stated, "The timing for this product couldn't be better with the exponential use of wireless technology along with the shrinking of some wireless bands. The increased challenges of identifying interference and finding available frequencies are in some cases becoming unmanageable." Kaltman continues, "One area of particular concern is within the UHF band where wireless microphone users are getting 'squeezed-out' with the FCC's UHF band reallocation and the Digital Television (DTV) UHF mandate."
The HF4040 is sold in a system package which includes two antennas (omni & directional), batteries & AC charger, PC software, a mini tripod stand, and an aluminum carrying case. And besides being an award winning product, the system package price of only $1,400 deserves a special note too.
Congratulations Kaltman Creations!
